The Centurio from Cornerstone Music Gear is a Klon-inspired overdrive pedal with two fully independent volume and gain stages, allowing you to select between two unique drive tones at the push of a button. Inspired by the exceptional Klon circuit, the Centurio can fulfill a wide range of roles in a signal chain, offering classic transparent drive and boost tones as well as rich overdrive that can be placed virtually anywhere in your rig. At the core of the pedal's unique flexibility are its switchable normal and hot modes, which allow you to switch between two drive tones mid-performance.
The large volume and gain knobs set the normal drive tone, while the smaller knobs adjust the settings for the selectable Hot Mode, which adds a boost to the input gain stage as well as the output volume stage with independent control for each. Dedicated footswitches for each allow you to control these two options during performance, enabling momentary boosts for soloing, or simply switching up your tone as you see fit. Also onboard the Centurio is a tone control for adjusting the EQ of the drive stage, as well as a Clip control that allows for deep customization of saturation character. The Bright switch offers yet another way to sculpt your tone, enhancing high end frequencies to cut through a full ensemble texture with ease. Finally, the Centurio features an external footswitch jack, which supports using it in tucked away set-ups without losing its flexible, two-channel switching capabilities.
